First manicure

Today was another fun day with Viktoria. We went to the grocery store together...what an experience that was for her. She gave me a big hug and a kiss when I let her pick out the kind of potato chips she wanted. She is always thinking about the dogs. She saw a rather HUGE bone that she thought would be perfectly suited for Cosmo and Rosie. However, it was really for a very large dog.

We spent a short time at the pool and then she decided she would like to come home to work on making some beaded bracelets. She has taken a strong liking to my sister, Tracey. She asks most days if Tracey is coming over. She gave Tracey a bracelet that she took great pains to make perfectly. She's quite easy to entertain. The simple things really make her happy. She enjoys coloring and doing word finds.

My sister did meet us for manicures and pedicures this afternoon. Viktoria chose to only get a manicure, but she new exactly what she wanted....a french manicure! She said she had never had a "real" manicure before. Mike left work early so he could come by the nail salon to see her getting her first manicure. Neither one of us wants to miss out on any of her "firsts". We then went to Old Navy. What fun to watch her show us the clothes she tried on (yes, Mike was even there for that!).

To end the evening, we came home to play a few games of Twister. Oh, my goodness!! Watching Mike Vanhoy play Twister is quite something to see!! We all laughed so hard that our stomachs hurt!

Viktoria was an answer to prayer today. I got news that my grandmother passed away today (in California). I knew I couldn't fall apart in front of her. She gave me another focus today. I wish my Grandma could have met Viktoria. They would have loved each other.
